Description
Owari is a fascinating game of strategy that was first played in West Africa. Two players, or one versus the computer, can now play two electronic versions of this ancient game. The secret is to sow your hand of seeds in such a way that you land in 'taking' positions, capturing seeds which are then stored in your scoring cup, the object being to capture more seeds than your opponent. Because you'll need all your concentration to keep one step ahead of your opponent the computer organizes the turns and keeps the score. Bull & Cow is an ideal computer game. It is a simple enough test but demands logical thinking. The computer asks you to work out how it has placed a pattern of 4-6 colors in a line of four. You lay down a row of colors and the computer gives its verdict: a Bull for placing the right color in the right position, a Cow for placing the right color in the wrong position. You look at the line and try again and again. Can you get the 4 Bulls and finish? How long did it take you? Check the stopwatch at the top of the screen. Did it really take that long? Why not press Start and see if you can trim off a few seconds?
