Description

There are two different game modes, Tall Tales Mode and Freeplay Mode. In Tall Tales mode, there are six shorts you can select from: Rescue Squad Mater, Mater the Greater, El Materdor, Monster Truck Mater, Unidentified Flying Mater and Tokyo Mater. Each short has several minigames to choose from, except the ones that are exclusive on the Cars Toons DVD and Heavy Metal Mater. In freeplay mode, any minigame can be selected and played. Trivia Several scenes from the shorts appear in the game as cut-scenes. Strangely, a scene from Unidentified Flying Mater appears in the Mater the Greater level. The player's cars resemble Mia and Tia, The King, Chick Hicks, Duff Wrecks, Greta and Michael Schumacher. There are three shorts: Heavy Metal Mater, Moon Mater, and Mater Private Eye, which were released at the time, but they are not featured in the game.
