On March 20, 1995, Nintendo released several Game Boy models with colored cases, advertising them in the "Play It Loud!" campaign. This line of models proceeded the Gameboy Pocket, and other following Gameboy systems. The difference between the Play it Loud High-Tech Transparent system and other transparent Gameboy systems is that it has grey buttons, where a transparent Japanese Gameboy model has the standard red buttons.
