Sony Computer Entertainment announced it will be releasing a "Pearl White" limited-edition summer color model of the PlayStation 2 in Japan on July 15. While Sony released a similar color called "Ceramic White" in the winter and spring, the company explained that the new model will be glazed, giving it a pearly sheen. The Pearl White PS2 (SCPH-50000 PW) will retail at 20,790 yen ($192), the same price as the normal black model. Allegedly only 2,000 made compared to it’s look alike, Ceramic White.
